STORMY DECADE:
Exclusive ten-year retrospective on the Ukrainian Investment Landscape

Meet STORMY DECADE, a ten-year retrospective on the Ukrainian Investment Landscape!

Some takeouts:

  • Total investment volume estimated at up to $9.4B.

  • The number of documented deals reaches over 1400.

  • 60% of investment activity lies in the tech sector.

  • A shift towards military tech, green energy, agriculture, and infrastructure.

  • Key economic indicators have not only recovered, but in many cases surpassed pre-war levels.

  • Lack of institutional capital: Compared to the regional benchmarks, Ukraine has significantly fewer active fund managers relative to GDP.

  • Nevertheless, about three dozen funds with a focus on Ukrainian projects are currently attracting new capital worth over $4B, including $300M Ukrainian Fund of Funds.

  • Most M&A transactions are between Ukrainian companies: Key sectors are TMT, agriculture, industry, and consumer goods.

Our sincere gratitude to partners, namely Horizon Capital, Crowe Mikhailenko, Diligent Capital Partners, and Wolf Theiss, as well as numerous contributors.
