In 2016 Polyteda Cloud became the first Ukrainian company which which has attracted funding on business development from the European Union under the "Horizon 2020" Instrument for small and medium enterprises (second phase).
"Horizon 2020" is a flagship initiative of the European Union aimed at the developing innovations with 80 billion euros of funding. Instrument for SMEs is a sub-program with a budget of 3 billion euro and gives funding to innovative companies with high growth potential.
On March 23, Sviatoslav Sviatnenko, in frames of UVCA workshop had shared his experience in getting the grant for Polyteda Cloud. Sviatoslav is the Director of Business Development at Borsch Ventures, which is the investment arm of high-tech company KM Core (member of UVCA), which invests in eFarmer, UaRpa, POLYTEDA and works closely with at least seven other IT companies in Ukraine and abroad.
As the part of the workshop attendees were able to learn about what is the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument, what was a success story and thorny way of Borsch Ventures / Polyteda, and what are the key mistakes in the request for funding. In addition, speaker shared his significant hints for winning the grant that will significantly reduce the long way of application and let you consider undervalued points of application.
