Private Equity Investments in Central and Eastern Europe Reached a Record €3.5 Billion09 Jul 2018

European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association “Invest Europe” where Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) - is a member, has issued a report on the investment market in Central and Eastern Europe.

According to the report, which included Ukraine, private equity investments in the region have reached a historic maximum of €3.5 billion, up 113% from 2016. The consumer goods and services sector attracted the largest share of investments - €2.6 billion or 74.6%.

The total volume of the divestments (the sale of share of the company) in 2017 in the CEE region is €1.3 billion, which is 18.2% more than in 2016.

The CEE funds have raised €1.3 billion, up 46% from last year, including a record €360 million from venture funds.
